Thanks for the feedback. I hadn't heard that about melatonin. It's good to know. Have you tried Ginkgo Biloba?

Jannis-

It's very important that you visit a doctor, like an audiologist. He might not be able to "cure" you, but he will be able to give you a better idea what's causing the tinnitus. And there are many causes. I feel that the best therapy is a multi-pronged approach. Reduce as many triggers as possible. Exercise, relax, get enough sleep, limit or cut out salt, keep your weight normal, take your vitamins and supplements, and if necessary, keep the white noise on 24/7. Nobody is able to promise you an actual "cure" because there isn't one- yet. It's all about coping. Good luck!

I would suggest a multi-pronged approach. Exercise, relaxation, cutting out salt (very important), and white noise. If you're interested in trying TinnitusDX, we have a money back guarantee. Feel better!

Good to have noted this write up. I have had mild tinnitus for many years now, but it was overcome by time, and familiarity. Of recent I used earphones on the ipod for prolong periods, as I was listening to podcasts of lessons in a course I am taking. The recent overuse has aggravated the tinnitus and it has become very disturbing (despite my long term familiarity). My suggestion is that serious studies should be done on the risk of tinnitus (or its aggravation) from the use of earphones - the use of which has become a widespread with the new music systems. Also a word of caution to all who use/plan to use earphones!

Yes, I would love to get more information on this. I have been having tinnitus for the past few months. It seems to be getting worse. I have ear pressure, sensitive to sound, pressure etc.

If there is anything you can do to help aliviate the pain and stress in my ears would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you and looking forward to hearing more.

I tried Melatonin but it made my tinnitus even worse when I stopped the medication! Melatonin also gave me a lot of bad side effects like anxiety, bad mood, headache, slight paranoia and awful dizzyness during daytime.

Hearing today is all about Technology and the advances seen in recent years. It has been created to house up-to-date discussion on hearing aids. There is a link between the two it could possibly be because of two reasons. One, those who develop hearing loss as they get older tends to be more socially isolated and less active. Two, perhaps "the strain of decoding sounds over the years may overwhelm the brains of people with hearing loss, leaving them more vulnerable to dementia. Thanks for sharing…
